Our mission
To make everyday clothes that last for years, from materials we can trace — and to take them back when they’re done.
Our story
Toko MSA was founded in 2026 in Bandung, West Java, by a small team who wanted every piece of clothing to have an answer to that question.
We set out to make clothes we could trace from start to finish — and to stay responsible for them after they leave the studio.
Our mission
To make everyday clothes that last for years, from materials we can trace — and to take them back when they’re done.
Our vision
A wardrobe where every piece can be traced, repaired and returned — and where that’s ordinary, not a premium extra.
What we believe
We keep a small, steady range and add to it slowly. Most pieces will stay in the collection for years, so they can always be mended with matching fabric.
If we can’t follow a material back to the farm, the forest or the recycler, we don’t use it. Sixteen materials have made the cut so far.
Our prices are set to cover living wages at every workshop we work with — and we’ll publish how close each one is, every year.
Free repairs for life, store credit when you send a piece back, and a pre-loved rail so good clothes keep moving.
Why we make to order
Our knitwear and outerwear will be made only to order. We open a pre-order window, make exactly what’s been reserved, and nothing is left over at the end of the run.
In the studio or on WhatsApp, during the pre-order window.
Knitted or sewn in Bandung in a single run, sized to the orders.
Ready in about 6–8 weeks, collected or delivered.
Roadmap
Founded in Bandung. Sixteen materials chosen, and the first eleven pieces designed.
The first collection opens for pre-order. The studio, fitting room and repair bench open in Bandung.
Free repairs and take-back live from the first piece sold. Our first impact report names every partner workshop.
The pre-loved rail opens with the first returned pieces, and a fibre-to-fibre recycling route for every material.
What we won’t do
Prices stay fair all year. No countdown timers, no “last chance” emails.
Fabric and finished pieces travel by road, rail or sea — even when it’s slower.
Any polyester or nylon we use is recycled, and labelled as such.
Every figure we publish names its method and source — or is clearly marked as an estimate.
Where the money goes
A Rp 1.150.000 overshirt, broken down. This is our planned costing for the first run — an estimate until production quotes are signed — and we’ll publish the real breakdown for every piece.
Total Rp 1.150.000. Figures in rupiah, rounded to the nearest thousand.
How the studio works
Design, sourcing, repairs and customer care will all happen under one roof in Bandung — so the people who make the promises are the people who keep them.
The studio opens in Bandung in 2027. Until then we’re glad to meet by appointment — or answer anything on WhatsApp.
